I am reading OUTBACK HEART by Joanne van Os, Jo is a Darwin author and this is an autobiography of the part of her life when she was the wife of Rod Ansell. Rod was the man who Crocodile Dundee was based on – he survived in the harshest and most remote part of Australia for two months with no supplies as a result he became an Australian hero – but he was a deeply troubled man and his life eventually ended on the side of a Territory road in a siege that left a police officer dead – and Rod.
