I am reading GHOUL INTERRUPTED by Victoria Laurie, number six in the ghost hunter series. MJ and her boyfriend Heath can both talk to the dead, and have taken an bereavement break from filming for their new TV series ‘Ghoul Getters’ to return to New Mexico for the funeral of Heath’s favourite uncle killed horribly and unexpectedly. When they arrive they find out Heath’s aunt has also died under strange circumstances. MJ’s spirit guide, Sam Whitefeather (Heath’s late grandfather), warns MJ that someone is waging war against the family and has released a big nasty demon to kill all of the family members. Heath and MJ need to find out who has summoned the demon – and kill them. I love the series as despite its heart stopping spooky bits there are lots of light hearted banter, romance and mystery.

Pg 245 – “…Heath and I were both pinned to the seat by fear, not daring to move or utter a sound. Very slowly I moved my head to look at Heath, but caught a glimpse of his window instead. Something glistened in the dark before a read eye emerged; glowing and demonic, it glared at me with pure hatred…”
